Creating jobs & cleaner energy to benefit Charlotte’s citizens and the environment

ReVenture Park is an innovative Brownfield redevelopment of a 667-acre shuttered manufacturing complex in northwest Charlotte, NC.  This former textile dye manufacturing facility has extensive infrastructure and facilities that make it uniquely suited to enable and attract environmentally minded companies.  Forsite Development is transforming the site into Charlotte’s first Eco-Industrial Park for the purpose of attracting and promoting projects in the Clean Energy space including renewable energy, alternative fuels, and recycling.

One of first projects will turn chipped wood from unrecyclable pallets into a renewable gas similar to natural gas. The process will generate clean renewable energy while generating only a tiny fraction of emissions produced by traditional coal fired power plants.

The team at Forsite Development is focused on the future of this land and wants nothing to go to waste. Valuable metals and other materials on site have been recycled and existing buildings have been renovated to attract businesses within the Clean Energy sector. The North Carolina Wildlife Federation has recognized our commitment to the environment with the Wildlife and Industry Together certification.

Recognized as the largest project of its type in the U.S., ReVenture Park is becoming a model for hundreds of similarly situated shuttered manufacturing sites across the country. It’s where public policy, private investment and environmental stewardship are perfectly aligned to turn an existing liability into a regional asset for today and generations to come.
